Recently, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Vu Dai Thang held a working session with a business delegation, including CEO of Dubai FDI, Vice President of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies Fahad Al Gergawi and Vietnamese billionaire and Chairman of SAPA Thale Mai Vu Minh.
At the meeting, Mr. Thang listened to plans on bilateral investment between Dubai FDI and SAPA Thale in Viet Nam in fields of finance-banking, high-tech development, infrastructure development, environment-energy, transport, real estate, tourism and hospitality.
Viet Nam has received more than 14,000 foreign-invested projects with the total registered capital of US$350 billion from 126 nations and territories, said Mr. Thang, adding that the nation has disbursed around US$180 billion.
The Vietnamese Deputy Minister expected that the two sides will share cooperative opportunities between the Vietnamese Government and other corporations in taking advantages of the country’s potentials as well as encourage Vietnamese firms to expand investment in potential markets.
He expected that the bilateral investment cooperation program will make crucial contributions to the development between Viet Nam and Dubai.
Vietnamese billionaire Mai Vu Minh affirmed that he will do his utmost for businesses in Dubai in particular and ones in the UAE to enhance investment in Viet Nam in the time ahead.
The bilateral investment cooperation program has paved the way for the Vietnamese enterprises to attract more investment from Dubai and the Middle East, he added.
In 2018, Viet Nam and Dubai trade value reached US$10 billion and the figure is expected to attain US$15 billion by 2025.
